Heidi Jeffers

Director of Economic Development

Heidi Jeffers heads the Department of Economic Development for the City of Metter, Georgia. She brings to Metter and Candler County over 30 years of Economic Development experience in logistics, retail, industrial and tourism. Her career began in logistics with a railroad in Georgia, eventually being promoted to Vice President.

Jeffers has served as the Director of Economic Development Programs for the Statesboro-Bulloch Chamber of Commerce and the Development Authority of Bulloch County. She has also served as the Executive Director of the Screven County Chamber of Commerce and Executive Director of the Statesboro Convention & Visitor Bureau. She was also named the Vice President of Franchise Development for South Georgia Tormenta FC, a national and international soccer team known for its superior marketing and branding campaigns.

Currently Jeffers duties include tourism, business development, branding and recruitment throughout the City of Metter.
